Odisha girl Padmalaya Nanda, who qualified for two international beauty contests, met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi before heading for participating at the events in Georgia and Greece.
The 12-year-old girl, who is a class VIII student at the Stewart School in Cuttack, will represent India in two beauty pageants — Little Miss Universe and Little Miss World — scheduled from May 31 till June 6 in Georgia and Greece respectively.

“I am very glad that he wished me for my future. I am very confident and fully prepared for the final event. It is just like a festival based on art, culture, style, intelligence and talent. It is a pageant where you can promote your talent and culture”, said Padmalaya after meeting Patnaik.
Earlier, Padmalaya had also Governor SC Jamir and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesdaymorning and sought his blessing also.
