Introduction Of Saswat Joshi :

Saswat Joshi is an Internationally acclaimed Odissi Dancer, Choreographer and model. He has performed in many stage shows, in many movies both Bollywood and Ollywood and worked as a best Choreographer in the industry.

Koun Kitney Panee Mein(Bollywood movie) by Nila Madhab Panda, he has performed in Rangabati song with Ollywood actress Prakruti Mishra and many other Bollywood stars. Ramleela hindi movie, Krantidhara Odia movie and many other movies are choreography by him.

Biography:

Saswat Joshi was born in Titlagarh, Bolangir on 18 December 1984 and  started his journey as a dancer when he was five years old in Sambalpuri Nrutya (folk art form of western Odisha), under the able guidance of Guru Prasanta Patnaik and Guru Shantanu Behera.

He learnt the basics of dance and postures of Odissi dance with great interest and dedication as a child artist, who hails from the hottest town of Titlagarh in Balangir district is today one of the brightest young male Odissi dancers of the State.

Known for his expression and technical perfection in Odissi dance, he has the future prospect having determination & devotion to carry forward Odissi dance in its classical feature & traditional style.

Marriage:

Saswat got married to Sucharita Joshi who is also a very good classical dancer. They have a cute daughter.

Career As An Odissi Dancer:

Saswat started his professional Odissi training under Guru Padma Shri Kumkum Mohanty in 2000. He has been an exponent of Padma Bibhusan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi style. Under the tutelage of Guru Padma Shri Ileana Citaristi, his dancing flourished in to its perfection.

Since 2004 he is associated with Art Vision, Bhubaneswar and is continuing his training in Odissi under the guidance of Padmashree Dr. Ileana Citaristi.

Saswat has also received training from many senior disciples of Guruji like Mukti Lata Pal, Leena Nanda, Kasturi Pattanaik, Dr. Minati Pradhan, Shilalipi Parida, Sagarika Mohapatra, Nivedita Jena & Nihar Nalini Das.

Saswat has performed widely throughout India & abroad. He has performed at major dance festivals and venues across the world including Japan, UK, Canada, Europe and India. He has also participated in many workshops on Odissi dance in South Korea, Europe, Italy and Japan.

He has also choreographed dance productions for stage and Television and participated in several dance competitions held at national level.

He did his Visharad from Chandigarh University and was awarded Sangeet Ratna from Rabindra Bharati University.He has performed in world’s biggest museum of Asian painting Musée Guimet at Paris, France in 2012 . He has given many lecture demonstrations of Odissi in various universities worldwide.

He had shared the stage with many international celebrities of dance like Carla Fracci, Luciana Savignano, Giuseppe Picone, Beppe Menegatti, Rossella Brescia and Luciano Mattia Cannito in a production called ‘I Have a Dream’ at Palermo city, Sicily of Insular Italy..

Career As A Model:

Saswat has modeled for many leading brands like Manyavar dresses, Boyanika as well as for many national and international brands.

He had undergone many photoshoots with the talented group Duti’s Photomontage with photographers like Sindhujyoti Biswal, Dutikeshwar Ballav Das, and Dibyajeet Sasmal.
