Vicky Kaushal has become a popular name in the Bollywood film industry. The actor has four releases next year making him one of the busiest actors of 2017-18. Vicky will be seen in a pivotal role in one of the most awaited Raju Hirani’s film the Dutt biopic and then in lead for the films like Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, Ronnie Screwvala’s Love Per Square Feet and a film on URI surgical attack.
We just heard that Vicky has now been roped in for the sequel to the 2013 hit, Bombay Talkies. Bombay Talkies was an anthology movie consisting of four short films, one of which was directed by Karan Johar. His piece was a drama called Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh and starred Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda and Saqib Saleem.
Like last time, Karan will be directing one of the quartets in the sequel, and it will be a comedy. Vicky will be playing the lead in that and this would be the first time both Karan and Vicky are trying their hands at comedy.
Vicky comes from an indie cinema background, whereas Karan is known for mainstream commercial dramas, hence, it will also be a litmus test of sorts for both of them. Karan’s movie will be produced by Ashi Dua and presented by Screwvala.
