Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said that total 973 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME units in the state have been given incentives of Rs 80.50 crore, generating employment to nearly 22,200 persons in the state.
The CM hoped that the web application AIM will ease the administration of incentives benefiting the MSME entrepreneurs.
MSME entrepreneurs will, from now onwards, be able to apply for various incentives under Industrial Policy Resolution and MSME Policy online.
The MSME Department has made provisions for different incentives under the MSMED Policy and the OFP Policy for the MSMEs. Earlier, the applicants were to apply to the concerned RICs / DIC for availing these benefits, Patnaik said.
“Now, with the launch of the AIM, the entrepreneurs can apply for incentives online and avail the benefits within defined timeframe,” the Chief Minister added.
Earlier, the applicants were to apply to concerned Regional Industries Centre and District Industries Centre for availing these benefits. But now with the launch of AIM, they can apply for incentives online and avail the benefits within defined time frame.
