AR Rahman the legend and one of the most renowned musicians of the world. He has completed his 25 years in his musical journey.
He always comes up with a soulful tune reflecting the mood. He is mesmerizing the audience with his music, whether it is love, inspiration, struggle, pain, happiness, patriotism, relationship etc.
Whoever may be the hero on the silver screen, Rahman never ceases to spell magic with his music.
He’s the only Indian to win a Filmfare, Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and BAFTA award. To add to his feather, ARR recently picked up a SIIMA award in Abu Dhabi for his Tamil film Achham Yenbadhu Mmadamayadda (AYM).
Over the past 25 years, AR Rahman has worn many hats besides just music composer. He can sing, write, produce, perform and entertain audiences. He’s fondly known as the “Mozart of Madras” and made his debut with Mani Ratnam’s Roja back in 1992.
His movies like Gentleman, Bombay, Rangeela, Indian, Minsara Kanavu, Dil Se, Taal, Lagaan, Guru , Highway and Rockstar made him a household name.
When he was asked about how he is shaping his career in the future, he answered that, “I’m planning to utilize my time effectively in future. I’m running a school for the kids coming from economically poor background. They may become music composers in future. We are also working on a TV episode ‘Daughters of Destiny’ for Hollywood director Vanessa Roth. I want to continue as a guide and music composer in future.”
