The three-lane Trisulia bridge over Kathajodi river to ease traffic congestion on NH-5 that connects the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, dedicated after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose setu.
The three-lane Trisulia bridge inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
Barabati-Cuttack MLA Debashis Samantaray claimed that the proposal was submitted by him stating that “naming the bridge after Netaji Subash Chandra Bose would be apt and fitting tribute to one of the foremost freedom fighters, who was also born in Cuttack and spent the first 16 years of his life there”.
The bridge connecting Judicial Academy Chhak in Cuttack and Barang in Bhubaneswar will now reduce the distance between the two cities by 12 km.
The project was constructed by the Roads and House Development Department at an estimated cost of Rs 114 crore.
“It will usher in a new era in Twin City links by reducing distance and commuting time for the citizens. It will stand as symbol of our constant efforts towards development of modern infrastructure for growth and progress of the state and our people,” the CM shared on Facebook.
