Krishna Beura is a playback singer has sung songs in commercial Hindi and Odia cinema. He is an Odia singer who is probably the first from his state to offer his voice as a male playback singer in Bollywood. Besides Hindi, he has sung numerous tracks in Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi and South Indian languages. He mostly known for his Super hit song ‘Maula Mere‘ in film Chak De India,Rabba (MUSAFIR) and Soniyo from the Heart(RAAZ-2).He can Sing in 22 Languages.
Krishna is originally from Kusupangi, Banki, Cuttack presently settled at Mumbai. His father Shri Indramani Beura was an employee of Indian Air Force who traveled to different parts of the country. So Krishna spent about 11 years in Chandigarh, graduated from GGDSD College, sector 32 Chandigarh, and post graduation from Department of Indian Theatre (Panjab University Chandigarh). His mother Shushama Beura wanted him to be a pilot or an engineer or a doctor.
Krishna’s Singing Career:
Krishna started singing when he was only five, it was during his post-graduation in theater when he decided to take up singing as a profession. Soon after his post-graduation, Krishna left to join the Sheraton, Dubai as a singer and then in FM as a Radio Jockey.
Krishna, who specializes in Sufi songs, has sung for more than 30 Bollywood flicks and more than 15 Ollywood flicks. Maa Khoje Mamata, Mun Premi Mun Pagala, Kiase Dakuchi Kouthi Mate, Tate Bhala Pauchi Boli, Most Wanted and many more odia movies are coming under his credit. He also worked in Hollywood with famous American musician Jay Oliver for a song by Sandeep Chowta.Krishna Beura is known for his very special (often uncommon) style which is very near to legend ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
He got his first Bollywood break when he approached Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay not only liked his singing style but also gave him a chance to sing in the 4 films, [Rudraksh] (song: Ishq Khudai),Rakht(Song:Sach Hai Sach Hai Yeh),Musafir(Song:Rabba),Deewaar(Song: Ali Ali). From then on his journey as a singer began in bollywood. Since then he has sung various chart busters including the latest Soniyo(from the Heart) from movie Raaz – The Mystery Continues. In 2008 he also released his first solo Pop album ‘Ishq Gali Na Jaiyo‘ comprising of 8 songs.
He has also lent his voice for many album songs like Ishq Gali Na Jaiyo (Label:TIPS), Neela Nayanaa (Label:Darubrahma Production), Tama Kathaa Mane Pade (Label:Sun Music) and many more.
