Introduction:

It is known by all that; Rituraj Mohanty is the legendary Indian Singer who is the winner of a singing competition- TV show India’s Raw Star in 2011. After a tough competition Rituraj won the title. He is well known as Rituraj.

Early Life:

He was born at Belapada (Khatuapada), Nimapada, Puri district of Odisha. He is the elder son of Mr. Chakradhar Mohanty and Smt. Pravati Mohanty. He got inspired from his father who is a professional Tabla musician and as well a singer.

Rituraj studied Odissi classical music in Bhubaneshwar. Bollywood singer Himesh Reshmiya is his inspiration. In his college time he faced a seviour road accident and doctor said to stay away from singing as his collarbone has broken. But after six months of bed rest, he started singing.

Singing Career:

He is having a talent to sing all kind of song in any language like rock, jazz, and pop, anything that comes on his plate. But basically want people to remember him by his Sufi songs. He loves to sing Sufi songs.

Rituraj was trying to known as a professional singer. In the year 2014, he sang the song “Sahib” in a Bollywood movie “Bhoothnath Returns”. Before that he also sang a song named “Aam Ke Aam Honge” on “Satyamev Jayate” (Amir Khan show Season 2), then he also got some break in Bollywood industry. Now he is a famous name and the name added in the top musician list as a legendary Indian Singer.

He has done so many Music albums and given voice in many movies like Budhia Singh – Born to Run, Teraa Surroor, Sunle Maula, Bangistan, Saraaab, Bhoothnath Returns, and Room – The Mystery, Jag Mein Sabse Pyara Naam Sai Ram and Bhuli Jibi Tote Odia album.
